Busy Busy
So, the blogging everyday thing isn't going too well, surprise, surprise! I've been crafting lots, knitting and sewing and have almost finished my first sewn garment. I have photos to blog but can't find the camera cable, and I'm busy sorting out Easter Basket templates for the girls to make at Brownies tomorrow evening. Ah, yes, Brownies. I think I forgot to mention that since September I've been known to 30 girls as 'Snowy Owl'. I'm really enjoy it, although it's pretty hard work and I always seem to end up trying to sort out activities for the Friday meeting sometime late on a Thursday night! Tomorrow we'll be making chocolate nests with mini eggs, and little paper baskets to carry the nests in. Or at least we will if my printer will hurry up and print the 40 templates!

More of the same
The last of my work colleagues to go on maternity leave is Rachel, who leaves next Tuesday. She had originally planned on staying at work until after Easter, but announced her change of heart late last week, thus throwing my knitting schedule into disaray. Yes, I am having to keep a schedule to keep track of all presents being knitted for impending births. I admit I have completely failed on my one New Year's resolution to knit more for myself and less for others. Serves me right for making a resolution!
Seeing as Rachel is leaving in a week, I needed to knit her presents quickly. I'm almost there:
The tank top needs seaming, the second bootie needs to be knitted and the hat needs finishing. I should have it all done in time. Famous last words!

Bread of Life
It was delicious spread with lashings of Rachel's Organic salted butter and Waitrose Morello Cherry Conserve. Yum!

Slow progress, but some is better than none!
I think the sewing machine and I are going to get along very well indeed.

Waiting...
...for news of a new arrival, who hasn't arrived yet. When they do, this tank and booties will be in the post. The new arrival is that of one of my old school teachers, from the days when I was doing Design and Technology A-level. He's a nice guy and we've kept in touch via email since I left school for university so it seemed like a nice idea to knit a little something for his new baby, particularly as when I was at school Design and Technology lessons were a big outlet for my craftiness and this teacher was always encouraging.

March
I can't believe it's March already. This year is going so quickly. I have mostly been knitting gifts for the 7 babies due to my friends and colleagues this Spring. Frankly I'll be glad when they've all been born and I can get on with some knitting for myself!
As I've been such a terrible blogger for the last few months, I have set myself the goal of blogging everyday throughout March. (Apart from the weekend that I'll be in Portsmouth for a hen weekend without web access. And possibly Easter weekend. Hmm, this may not be easy).
Anyway...here goes...
