Out of hibernation...

I'd like to have been in hibernation, but I've been researching and writing my dissertation and working on the design for the Centre for Constructed Textile Crafts.

Yeterday, I studied in the library from 8am-5pm, then did a shift in Debenhams until 10pm. It took me until almost midnight to get back home. I slept like a baby, until I was woken by a knock on the door this morning. I waited for Nick to answer the door. He didn't. I *ran* downstairs and opened the door to the postman who gave me this parcel...for me!Inside the parcel was this:
And inside the box were these:
An early Valentine present from my Mum! Ah, my parents send me the *best* presents! One year, my Mum sent me perfume, chocolates, a bouquet of flowers and a pair of pants (not sexy ones!) Who needs a boyfriend with a Mum who sends presents like these?!!

Thanks Mum! xxx

Now for the knitting update. Hmm, there really hasn't been much time for knitting recently. However... I have finished Loopy and Luscious! I don't have a photo, but I'll post one as soon as I've taken it. The frilly tank is coming along nicely. It doesn't have a frill yet, and it isn't staying as a tank. I've decided to knit sleeves with a frill around the bottom of those as well. I have two and a half balls of yarn, so I'm going to start the sleeves at the shoulder and knit them as long as I can with the yarn I have. I have a photo of the tank on me, but I'm not posting it as without the frill it is ever so slightly pornographic and I don't want a repeat performance of corset-gate.
Anyway, this is what it currently looks like, along with the kidsilk haze which I will be using for the frills.

And I've knitted about 5 rounds of the sock since it was last posted. Hmm, that's progress, lol.

I think the top is looking brilliant. And I am very sorry for talking about your nipples in the presence of your head of year. :(

Wow. I wish my mom would send me something like that. They look gorgeous! Viv rocks!

It's going to be a Charlie Brown Valentine's Day for me this year -- empty post box syndrome.

BTW, Floss, your Mp4 won't play on my comp :( But thank you for sending it anyway :)

Hi, I love the frilly tank and having big boobs, feel I should make it and flaunt 'em but I can't find the pattern. Please could some kind soul point me in the right direction?
Thanks Sal

Hmm, that's a slightly tricky question Sal! The basis of the pattern is by Jen at Fyberspates. I've been testing the pattern for her, and she will be selling it in her shop. She may let you have/buy a copy now though. Leave a message on Jen's blog, which can be accessed from her website at www.fyberspates.co.uk

Hope that helps!

Thanks Alice, I'll leave her a message. I could be one of the first to flaunt my breasts in it - or rather, out of it!! ;-P

What a fab mummy you have!

I won't be there on Saturday (no transport) - what about March? Or would you like me to post you the pattern?

love Heather xxxx

I hope Flossie's doing well. I know she's snowed under at uni, but I sure do miss her blogs.
